Ahmed Jimaale is a Somali‑American clean‑tech founder committed to expanding access to safe, affordable drinking water in Somalia’s coastal communities. His mission is shaped by firsthand experience with water scarcity and the urgent need for scalable, renewable‑energy water solutions.

As Founder & CEO, Ahmed leads AquaSom’s overall strategy, organizational development, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. He oversees pilot design, donor engagement, and cross‑border coordination between U.S. partners and Somalia‑based field operations. His leadership focuses on building a sustainable, impact‑driven water model that can scale across Somalia and similar coastal regions globally.

Somalia‑Based Operations Team

Field Operations Manager – Abdikadir Jim’ale

Location: Mogadishu, Banadir, Somalia

Focus: Field operations, site coordination, logistics, and water sampling

Abdikadir Jim’ale leads AquaSom’s on‑the‑ground implementation activities. He manages field coordination, site assessments, water sampling, and logistical support for pilot deployment. Abdikadir ensures effective communication between local communities and AquaSom leadership, enabling smooth execution of technical and operational activities.

AquaSom is engaging with a technical partner to lead system engineering and design. This role will provide expertise in solar‑powered desalination systems, reverse osmosis technology, and system optimization.
