Ahmed Jimaale is a Somali-American entrepreneur based in Minnesota, USA, and the founder of AquaSom Solutions.
Having spent part of his life in Somalia, Ahmed witnessed firsthand the challenges many communities face in accessing safe and reliable drinking water. These experiences inspired him to create AquaSom Solutions with a clear mission: to help expand access to clean, affordable, and sustainable water across Somalia.
For more than a decade, Ahmed has lived in the United States while maintaining strong ties to Somalia and its communities. His vision combines renewable energy, water innovation, and local community engagement to address one of the country’s most urgent challenges.
Ahmed believes that access to clean water is not only a basic human need but also a foundation for better health, education, economic opportunity, and community development.

Ahmed works at Kerry Inc. in Owatonna, Minnesota, as a Quality Technician, where he supports food safety, quality control, and manufacturing standards. His experience in quality systems, technical processes, and safety protocols strengthens AquaSom Solutions’ commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable water solutions.
Education
Ahmed is a student at South Central College in Mankato, Minnesota, pursuing a business and management degree. His studies in leadership, management, and organizational development directly support the long-term growth and sustainability of AquaSom Solutions.

The idea for AquaSom Solutions came to Ahmed through a simple but powerful realization:
Somalia has the longest coastline in Africa and receives constant sunlight year-round.
This unique combination makes Somalia one of the most suitable places in the world to:
